Don’t let integration be the Cinderella of your digital transformation

LISTEN TO PODCAST:

Host:

Richard Holmes, Data Centre Solutions Leader, Arrow.

Guest Speakers:

Chris Booker and Sam Botham of digital transformation specialists DeeperThanBlue, and David Fearne, CTO at Arrow UK.

In a wide-ranging conversation, the contributors discuss the role of digital transformation in helping organisations in general and retailers in particular to deliver excellent service from start to finish.

Instant gratification is the name of the game. In many markets, the quality of the product is becoming secondary to the ease and speed with which customers can order, pay and track delivery from their mobile phone.

And it’s not just the big players, the Nexts and Amazons of the retail sector, who are transforming their agility, speed to market and personalisation. Smaller retailers, too, are using technology such as cloud to give them the elasticity to scale and grow cost-effectively, in a way previously unimaginable.

As the podcast contributors are keen to highlight, it’s not only the “front-end sexy stuff” that is key here. Integration is the single most important, but possibly the least well served component of the technology mix. Products that support integration are the critical glue holding people and processes together and, ultimately, ensuring a seamless experience for the customer.
